However, for plus size women finding the right swim wear is key. We just can't go to Target and pick up the first thing on the rack. Although some women have been lucky. So, now to begin the search for the perfect swim suit. Something that covers all the necessary places, fits like a glove, comes in beautiful prints and colors and looks fabulous on this plus size beauty...but where? Searched the stores with no luck, so I decided to hit the online scene and see what offerings were available. First store, nope! Too skimpy. Second store, close but nothing popped out at me. Then I came across Monif C. I was floored!
Monif C. has put together a collection of stunning swim wear options...did I say STUNNING! Sexy, flattering, covering all the right places and some of the pieces have this wonderful vintage feel to them. I can imagine myself with a big floppy hat, some cat eye sunglasses, winged out liner with red lipstick while lounging in one of these beauty pieces...so retro.
I would have never thought of wearing a two piece until I saw "Sao Paulo" High-Waisted Plus Size Bikini Top With Underwire - Black/White Stripe one of my faves.
My absolute favorite from the collection is the "Maldives" Illusion Ruched Plus Size Swimsuit, A vintage inspired designed with a nude lining and black mesh overlay which gives this illusion of skin. I'm loving the halter top which really embodies that retro feel. This suit is $188 and is offered in sizes 12W-24W. Pieces within the collection ranged from $70 - $188.
