A Night with the Ladies of The Untamed Hair Tour...Recap

I'm so blessed to be a part of the Untamed Hair Tour. The Untamed Hair Tour consist of six beautiful women all who are living life without fear...Untamed!
We tour across the US and internationally not only talking hair, but we give seminars, workshops and conferences on everything from Hair, Fashion, Business, Marketing, Culinary Arts and so much more.

We had the opportunity to host an event at the Chic and Curvy Boutique located in Inglewood, Ca on January 27, 2013. The event was an opportunity for women all over to come together for a night of shopping, talking natural hair and enjoying some good food and wine.



The event was made so special because my family had a chance to come out and as well as a fellow Bloggers Like Me (BLM) friend, Simona from the blog GoodLooknOut! Simona has been so supportive of my blog and efforts, so it was truly a pleasure to see her at the event. Simona has natural hair as well and is simply gorgeous. The evening started with wine and appetizers as we allowed everyone to mingle and shop. As the evening progressed, we started with out first hair demo by Vanessa Beard of Untamed and FabVab.com. She took the time to do two demos for everyone. Both demos showed how to do protective styles and how to twist-out the protective style. Vanessa also is a natural hair stylist so be sure to check out her website for your new style! The demo was followed by a question and answer period which allowed everyone a chance to get to know each other as we all chimed in to answer questions because no natural head is alike. One of the important topics of the night was "Water, just how important is it for hair?"...Very Important!

During the event we had several raffles. Winners received prizes such as Shea Moisture products, Carol's Daughter Hair Milk Starter Kits, $25 gift card to the Chic and Curvy Boutique, Soap Basket from the Soap Diva and Hair/Skin moisturizer from Kitchen Pretty. So many prizes and so many winners!!! I had the chance to try the Kitchen Pretty Leave-In Conditioner and I'm HOOKED!!!

It was so nice to have a chance to talk with Chenese Lewis of CheneseLewis.com. I truly enjoyed getting to know her a little better. Chenese is a Plus Size Model, actress, radio host and a pillar in the plus size community. She inspires me in so many ways.
